Yes, it is New Video Tuesday!!!

Some engineers have had moderate to great success in dating. Others have not. I have been happily married for a while now and would like to tell my fellow engineers a few things I learned the hard way. ENJOY!!!

I would love to hear any other engineer dating mishaps you may have encountered, or done yourself.

I took the easy way out and got married before getting into engineering. I was actually in the Army at the time.

awesome Todd !!!

i think this video would help reduce the population of single engineers floating around after hours in buildings like Mopac C

Todd, coming from a single engineer employee from your alumni, I loved that!

Anyone want to fund a start up with me? We are replacing match.com with engineermatch.com: the ultimate dating service for geeks is here!

Very Funny...yet sadly true. Great Dating advice. I've been married now I'm a single engineer again and in a Target Poor Environment (not many women) it's tough to find women to date.

Keep it up!

As a female engineer who believes in Bigfoot...I still think you're hilarious.

Some engineering pick-up lines that never work:

"Girl, you and me in parallel equals no resistance."

"I think you're my Thevenin equivalent."

Great points, Todd. I would only add:

1)Use plaid with caution. Plaid is not inherently bad—just the fact that every non-t-shirt you own is plaid. Take some time for introspection. You and I both know you are wearing your “go-to” red plaid shirt on the first date, but try to mix it up if you manage to land a second.
If you find it hard limiting the plaid, it may help to construct a logical NOR truth table, comparing two of your favorite plaid shirts. Set wearing the shirt to “true” and not wearing the shirt to “false.” Let the result be read as “will this girl find me attractive.”

2)Mind your lunch. While the Ziploc plastic container fits snugly in your backpack and provides a protective seal that prevents leakage on your laptop, this may mislead the girl you are trying to woo. This modern sack lunch, while very logical and efficient, could be interpreted as a hobo’s knapsack. This undermines your stable future and excellent problem-solving skills.

Oh man Todd... You're still hilarious. Its so fun to know where you ended up. I'm doing good. Got married 2 years ago (took a while), was out of college 3 years before I found a fellow engineer that I suckered into marrying me. So, perhaps a "how to" video for engineer girls might have been useful, even if there are only 2 of us out there.

Anyways, can't wait to hear more from you.
